Aroha is a Maori (and now New Zealand English) word with many layers of meaning. The light translation is love.

My name is Melanie Bryant and I have been actively involved with Golden Retrievers all of my life with my family whom have been breeding and showing for over twenty five years. I obtained my first Goldy Zeke (Ch Arangold Cambrian Imp NZ) who is pictured with me (taking a dip at Straddie), in New Zealand twelve years ago and it was where my own career started.

Then moving to Australia Zeke and I achieved success in the show ring and was the best companion that I could have.

Then thinking he needed a companion too besides me, I decided to get another goldy so I imported Lucas from New Zealand from my mother who has the very successful kennel Winterlea.

I have had great success with Lucas in and out of the show ring, with Obtaining his NZ Ch and Australian Grand Champion Title and also obtaining his Endurance Title.

Progressing from there we now have added a new addition to the family, Ch Goldfleece I Got You Babe (a Lucas daughter)
